Until now, only immunosuppressed individuals over 60 years of age were receiving booster doses.

Booster doses will be applied to those who have already taken the two doses of Coronavac, Astrazeneca and Pfizer vaccines for at least five months. The vaccine used will be Pfizer, the only one widely available today in São Paulo. An audience of 800 thousand people is expected.

To avoid crowding, the vaccination will be split. Will receive the booster dose on Thursday who took the second dose of immunizing until April 27. On Friday, it is the turn of people who took the second dose until June 17th.

There is still no definition on how the booster will be made for those who took Janssen, which until now was a single dose. The Ministry of Health recommended that this group receive a second dose, before the reinforcement of Pfizer. The problem is that there are no doses of Janssen available in the capital. Therefore, the city awaits instructions from the Ministry of Health.
