The São Paulo International Book Biennial started selling tickets at 10 am this Wednesday (25), for the event that will take place between the 2nd and 10th of July, at Expo Center Norte.
Tickets cost between BRL 30 and BRL 15, and those who buy them before June 30th will receive “cashback”, that is, the return of part of the amount paid for the ticket – in this case, BRL 10 for the ticket. full price and R$5 for half price. The amount can be spent at the stands through an app, but it is not valid for the food court.
Teachers, book professionals, seniors, children under 12 and holders of a full Sesc (Social Service for Commerce) credential do not pay admission to the event.
The event’s program should be announced on Thursday, June 2nd, and should feature authors from the invited country: Portugal, in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of Brazil’s declaration of independence, on September 7, 1822.
The Bienal promotes the exhibition and sale of books from multiple publishers and distributors in the country, and expects at least 500,000 people to visit. With 185 exhibitors and the presence of 300 national and international authors, the fair will occupy 65 thousand square meters.
