The city of São Paulo resumes this Monday (7) the municipal vehicle rotation. The restriction will be in effect at its traditional hours, from 7 am to 10 am and from 5 pm to 8 pm, and is valid only from Monday to Friday, except on holidays.
The rotation of vehicles had been suspended last week after the accident at a work on the subway line 6-orange in Marginal Tietê, which occurred on Tuesday (1st). A landslide caused by a sewage leak caused a crater on the road, interrupting circulation on the local and central lanes.
Traffic in the central lane was released on Thursday (3), but the local lane remains closed near the Piqueri bridge, towards Ayrton Senna highway.
According to the Traffic Engineering Company (CET), the Maximum Restriction Zone for the Circulation of Trucks (ZMRC) and the Maximum Restriction Zone for Chartering (ZMRF) will also be valid.
The municipal vehicle rotation, called “Peak Hour Operation” restricts the circulation of vehicles in the expanded center in the morning, from 7 am to 10 am, and in the afternoon, from 5 pm to 8 pm.
The restriction occurs according to the end of each vehicle’s license plate and includes the roads that delimit the so-called Minianel Viário, formed by the Tietê and Pinheiros marginals, Bandeirantes and Afonso D’Escragnole Taunay avenues, Maria Maluf Road Complex, Tancredo Neves and Provisional Boards, Grande São Paulo Viaduct and Professor Luís Inácio de Anhaia Melo and Salim Farah Maluf avenues.
“Transiting in places and times not allowed by the regulations provided for in the Brazilian Traffic Code implies a medium-level traffic violation, resulting in a fine in the amount of R$ 130.16 and an addition of 4 (four) points in the driver’s record”, he informed. The city hall.
