The city of São Paulo should register low intensity and isolated rains throughout this Friday (7).
After dawn with overcast skies and an average temperature of 18ºC, the capital of São Paulo only registers drizzle in isolated spots, according to the Climate Emergencies Management Center (CGE) of the São Paulo City Hall.
The CGE explains that the cold front has moved away from São Paulo, but the city receives humid winds from the ocean.
“This meteorological condition inhibits the free rise of temperatures, which should reach an average of just 21°C, with minimum percentages of air humidity above 65%”, informed the CGE in a statement.
Heavy rains in Belo Horizonte and the north coast of SP
According to Climatempo, the advance of a cold front to the coast of Rio de Janeiro and the circulation of winds at higher levels of the atmosphere should cause instability in some regions of Brazil.
This Friday (7), there is a risk of heavy and voluminous rain, with potential for flooding, on the north coast of São Paulo, south coast of Rio de Janeiro and the Greater Belo Horizonte region.
“This system will be organized in the next few days and will cause a lot of rain in these regions, especially over Minas Gerais until the beginning of next week”, explains Climatempo.
