São Paulo wakes up with closed weather and risk of rain this Monday

The Metropolitan Region of São Paulo woke up, this Monday (6), with a lot of cloudiness and high humidity levels, around 90%.

According to the Climate Emergencies Management Center (CGE) of the City of São Paulo, there are chances of isolated rains that happened towards the end of the morning.

Until around 6 am, there were no records of precipitation in the Metropolitan Region. “Weather radar images indicate light rain in the Sorocaba region”, indicated the CGE in a statement.

In the afternoon, the rains can spread through the capital of São Paulo and gain strength, with the risk of flooding.

“The large amount of clouds and rain inhibit the free rise in temperatures. Maximum of just 24°C with air humidity rates above 45%”, informed the CGE.

For the next few days, experts expect that São Paulo and the Metropolitan Region will once again register heavier rains.

On Tuesday (7), the CGE predicts that the day will be marked by many clouds and intermittent rain. The closed time should keep the temperature around 21ºC in the region.
