São Paulo’s Immigrant Party will once again take place in person in 2021

The Museum of Immigration of São Paulo announced this Wednesday (3) that it will resume the face-to-face edition of the traditional Festa do Imigrante, held annually at the site of the former Imigrantes do Brás Inn and which, in 2020, was held virtually due to to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The 26th Festa do Imigrante will take place on December 17th, 18th and 19th, from 10 am to 5:30 pm, and should be attended by 5,000 people per day of celebration, said the Immigration Museum.

“At each edition, more than 80 communities, represented by 50 different nationalities, participate in the event with music, dance, crafts and gastronomy. Approximately 20,000 people attend the cultural events and exchanges of knowledge present at this meeting every year”, says a press release from the Museum.

The event organizers stated that the Festival “will follow all sanitary protocols and entry will be released upon presentation of proof of vaccination or negative test, in accordance with the São Paulo Plan”, added the Museum’s press office to the CNN.
