Sapphire GPRO X080 and GPRO X060 video cards have been declassified, which are sold directly to miners. And they are much cheaper than their counterparts in the Radeon line.

If Nvidia officially releases and sells video cards for miners (CMP line), then AMD and its partners doing the same do not advertise their actions in this direction: such models do not appear on official websites. However, AMD partners are known to produce specialized graphics cards for miners and sell them directly to major cryptocurrency miners. For example, such models are GPRO X080 and GPRO X060 from Sapphire. Details about them were at the disposal of the source.

Sapphire GPRO X060

In general, the GPRO line includes solutions for workstations, but the models in question are intended exclusively for miners. Even the official specs indicate the performance of Ethereum mining. The values are as follows:

  • Sapphire GPRO X080: 38 MH / s @ 165W (typical), 41.6 MH / s @ 93W (after setup)
  • Sapphire GPRO X060: 27.8 MH / s @ 100W (typical), 29.4 MH / s @ 60W (after setup).

It turns out that the mining performance of Sapphire GPRO X080 is close to that of the Radeon RX 6700 XT, and the appropriately tuned Sapphire GPRO X060 is close in mining efficiency to the Radeon RX 6600 XT. But specialized video cards cost about half as much as gaming ones: 750 euros for the GPRO X080 and 550 euros for the GPRO X060.

GPRO X080 is built on a Navi 22 GPU with 2304 stream processors, the GPU runs at 2132 MHz. The video card has 10 GB of 16 GHz GDDR6 memory connected to the GPU with a 160-bit bus. There are no video outputs, and only Linux is listed among the supported operating systems.

GPRO X060 is based on GPU Navi 23 XL with 1792 stream processors. The maximum GPU frequency reaches 2044 MHz, the frequency of 8 GB GDDR6 memory is 14 GHz. The memory bus width is 128 bits. Interestingly, this model, unlike the older one, is equipped with DisplayPort and HDMI video outputs, so that after Ethereum’s final transition to the Proof-of-Stake consensus, miners will be able to resell the GPRO X060 to gamers. In addition, Windows is supported in this case.
