Sarah Ferguson, who has defeated two tumors: “She is fine now”, assures her daughter Beatrice of York

The last few months for Sarah Ferguson were very harsh: the duchess, ex-wife of Andrew from York, she underwent surgery first for breast cancer, then for melanoma. But now the eldest daughter Beatricetalk show host This Morningprovided comforting updates on his health: «He's fine, everything's fine now», said the princess, adding: «Mom has been through a lot, but she's phenomenal. I'm moving forward also thanks to his resilience.” The princess defined her mother's health problems as «bad accidents», relegating them to the past: «At 64, mum is in great shape». Beatrice then said that both she and her younger sister Eugenie I am proud of the fact that the mother made her illnesses public: «She took the right steps for her health, she opened the eyes of her entire family», but not only: «He reminded the world how important early diagnoses are to defeating cancer».

In fact, since she was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2023, Sarah has never stopped explaining via social media that prevention can save lives. She herself, moreover, had discovered that she had breast cancer, which was urgently removed with surgery, during a routine check-up. In August 2023, after the operation, the Duchess assured that she was well, and that she saw her new reconstructed breast, which she named Derek, as “a friend who saved my life”. Precisely during the reconstructive surgery following the mastectomy, however, the doctors had noticed some in suspicions. The duchess' dermatologist later examined them and at that point the new diagnosis of cancer arrived. Andrea di York's ex-wife, at that point, had to return under her knife.

Last March the British press revealed that the melanoma, fortunately, had not spread: «It's huge relief for Sarah and for the entire family after anxiously awaiting the results”, a friend of the duchess had announced to Daily Mail. Now the new update provided by her daughter Beatrice: Fergie “is fine, everything is fine”. Comforting news that arrives in one of the darkest periods – clinically speaking – of the royal family: they are in fact fighting against cancer, as is known, both King Charles III that Kate Middleton. And when William's wife revealed her illness with a video last March, Fergie dedicated a touching message to her via Instagram: «All my thoughts and prayers are aimed at the Princess of Wales (…) Because I am a who has faced his own battles with cancer in recent months, I am full of admiration for the way she spoke publicly about her diagnosis and I know this will do a tremendous amount of good in raising awareness. I hope he will now have time, space and privacy to heal.”
