The spacecraft was supposed to deliver 2,177 kg of materials and scientific equipment for the crew of the International Space Station. A few minutes before the start, it was decided to postpone the launch due to bad weather – strong winds.

Meanwhile, a few hours before the expected launch, Maxar Technologies’ WorldView-2 satellite captured an impressive image of a rocket and ship at the LC-39A launch complex.

Maxar announced on its official Twitter page:

We got a good view through the clouds on LC-39A at Kennedy Space Center, Florida with a SpaceX Falcon9 rocket. ”

With regard to the delayed launch, all Falcon and Dragon equipment is fully operational. According to SpaceX production manager Andy Tran, “the weather was not in our favor.” A repeated launch attempt is planned to be made on August 29 at 10:14 Moscow time.
