Satisfaction from the Eurogroup for the progress of Greece

The great progress of Greece in the implementation of the reforms, under the difficult conditions created by the pandemic and the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, were recognized at their meeting today by the Eurozone Finance Ministers.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the context of the discussion on the 13th Enhanced Supervision Report, expressed their satisfaction for the progress made by Greece, said the head of the Eurogroup, Pascal Donahue and the Commissioner of Economy, Paolo Gentiloni.

Greece has completed another set of commitments and despite some delays has made great progress, Gentiloni said. The Commissioner noted that the latest assessment is not linked to debt measures and will be done in the next, the 14th Report.

The president of ESM, Klaus Regling, also spoke about the positive assessment in the report on the developments in the Greek economy, noting the implementation of the reforms even under these difficult conditions.

“Reforms must continue – there are still areas to be seen and this will be done in the context of the 14th report,” he added.
