The beginning of spring should be marked by a first cold weekend in much of the country. A cold front that formed in the middle of the week is heading towards the Southeast and could bring temperatures down and bring heavy rain to the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and southern Minas Gerais this Saturday (24) and Sunday (25) , according to Climatempo.
In São Paulo, the thermometers can reach a minimum of 8ºC. The maximum should not exceed 21ºC this Saturday.
The Civil Defense of SP issued an alert on Friday (23) because of the cold. The notice is valid until this Sunday. According to the agency, thermometers can reach 3ºC in Serra da Mantiqueira.
The cold front advances and may bring light rain, located with low accumulated to the north of MG, interior of Bahia, Tocantins, north of Mato Grosso and Pará.
In Belo Horizonte, the minimum must be 14th and the maximum can reach 27ºC.
Saturday should also be cold in Rio de Janeiro, the minimum temperature in the state capital should be 13ºC. The maximum should not exceed 25ºC, according to Climatempo.

Storms in the North and Midwest
An extratropical cyclone that hit Brazil this week continues to act off the coast of Rio Grande do Sul, reinforcing strong winds over the ocean.
The sea should be rough from the south coast to the southeast coast.
According to the forecast, in part of Brazil the weekend will have sun and heavy rain showers.
The heat and high humidity cause storms in the south of Tocantis, in the Federal District and in the east of Mato Grosso.
In the Northeast, the rain spreads more and it can rain in part of the interior of the region. The cold front should advance towards Bahia and rain is already increasing in the west and south of Bahia, says Climatempo.
