Saúde validates immunization of vaccinated with lots of Coronavac suspended by Anvisa

The Butantan Institute stated, this Wednesday (17), that people immunized with lots of Coronavac vaccine – bottled in a line of Chinese pharmaceutical Sinovac not certified by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) – will not need to be revaccinated.

The decision was published in a technical note released last Friday (12) by the National Immunization Program (PNI), of the Ministry of Health.

According to Butantan, the decision “supports the assertions that the lots that had been suspended by Anvisa are as safe and effective as those bottled in the institute’s facilities.”

In the note, the PNI indicates that people who were vaccinated with immunizers from batches 202107101H, 202107102H, 202107103H, 202107104H, 202108108H, 202108109H, 202108110H, 202108111H, 202108112H, 202108113H, 202108114H, 202108115H, 202108160H will have their doses considered as having their doses 202108116H valid, with no need for revaccination”.
