Big film production companies are changing the rules and are now betting on the talent of all people, whether they are of color, from the LGBTQ + community or with disabilities. However, not everyone agrees with the inclusion.

Disney, with its entire Marvel franchise, is becoming one of the most critically-hit production companies. First, because they aimed at the same old thing, that is, Caucasian and heterosexual heroes and then because they decided to join the inclusion and accepted that the saviors of the world were from the LGBTQ + community. Given this, his most recent film, Eternals, was banned in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar.

They ban the movie Eternals by homosexual hero

The most recent Marvel movie contains a wide variety of superheroes that we were not used to seeing, such as a deaf-mute heroine and the first openly homosexual hero in the entire universe. It is because of this detail that certain problems were generated in some regions of the world, since relationships between same-sex couples are prohibited and are not welcomed either.

According to information from The Guardian, countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar withdrew the film from their cinemas due to a confrontation with the production company, as the three countries demanded that the scene of the character of Phastos, played by Brian Tyree Henry, in which a kiss with another man.

Despite the fact that the confrontation has not been officially confirmed by the authorities of these three countries, the media’s information assured that it is the most obvious reason, because it is taken into account that in these countries, homosexuality is prohibited by law.

Faced with the controversy, the director of the film, Chloé Zhao, gave her opinion on previous films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU, for its acronym in English) that have had to be edited to meet the demands of certain countries.

I don’t know all the details, but I think it was discussed and there is a great desire on the part of Marvel and myself not to change the cut of the film. Cross our fingers.

The controversy still has no end and it is possible that it will spread even more to other places such as China, as the country has more than one reason to become the headache of studies, since Chloé Zhao has been harshly criticized by the Chinese government for showing this superhero. Now we can only wait to find out how the whole thing will end.
