According to him, the blocking sanctions include not only the freezing of assets, but also a ban on American companies to conduct any activity with these banks. As a result, Sberbank and Alfa-Bank applications may be removed from the App Store and Google Play. In this case, customers will have to use mobile banking through web browsers.

Recall that the US authorities announced the introduction of full blocking sanctions against Sberbank and Alfa-Bank. These sanctions include the freezing of bank assets and the imposition of a ban on US citizens and companies from doing business with them. In addition, Washington imposes a ban on new investments in the Russian economy. This step, as well as sanctions against Sberbank and Alfa-Bank, as specified in the White House, should allow depriving Russia of access to dollars so that the country could not service its external debt.

As specified in the White House, the United States in total completely blocked more than two-thirds of the Russian banking sector, in connection with which the Russian economy will no longer be among the twenty largest.

At the same time, representatives of Sberbank and Alfa-Bank said that the sanctions would not affect ordinary Russians.
