Today, December 6, Sberbank officially introduced its own telephone answering machine under the laconic name “Smart Answering Machine”, which will allow users to live more comfortably and spend less free time on conversations that have no value. This service has already appeared in the Salute branded application, plus the company promises to add it to Sberbank Online in the very near future – the new product can answer incoming calls (it uses its own voice assistant) with the ability to flexibly configure scenarios, as well as decrypt incoming calls to text.
With the standard settings, “Smart answering machine” will be activated only if the user for some reason does not answer an incoming call or is out of range of the cellular network. But if they wish, users of the service will be able to avoid conversations with strangers using the phrase “Salute, connect an answering machine” – for example, you can transfer absolutely all calls from unknown numbers to an answering machine, and then receive a “printout” of the call to save yourself from unnecessary communication with scammers. Moreover, it is possible to create special responses for specific numbers.
In a press release from Sberbank, they indicated a scenario in which the answering machine automatically recognizes the number of the food delivery service, after which, using a voice assistant, dictates the intercom code to the courier, some delivery features or, for example, a request to leave an order at the door and not ring the bell. After activating the answering machine, the user will receive a push notification, by clicking on which it will be possible to receive both an audio recording of the call (in case you need to recognize the caller by voice) and a text transcript. And the “Smart answering machine” is quite useful in order to work as a banal caller ID – the base of “Sberbank” is impressive.
Naturally, it is hard not to notice the similarity of the functions and capabilities of the Smart Autoresponder project and Oleg from Tinkoff, but, as in any other area, healthy competition only plays into the hands of the end user.
