SberBank has come up with a new initiative – the company proposes to abandon plastic to cardholders. To implement this, a corresponding function has appeared in the SberBank Online application.
In the mobile application, you can now quickly issue a bank card without a plastic carrier. In the process of registration, the client needs to select the “Let’s no plastic” option. Such a digital card has already been activated, it can be used immediately, it has the same functionality as a plastic card – online and offline payments and transfers, Sberbank crediting, cash withdrawals.
If necessary, a bank card on a plastic carrier can be ordered later in a few clicks in the same application.
According to SberBank, the only difference between such a card and a regular one is that to pay for offline purchases, you need a smartphone, smart watch, bracelet or other gadget with NFC support.
At the first stage, the option is available when registering SberCard and SberCard Travel. In the future, this format will become available for other SberBank cards.
