SBI will pay XRP to buyers of the company’s tokenized bonds

Financial giant SBI, Ripple’s largest partner in Japan, is offering its clients bonus payments in XRP if they participate in the firm’s tokenized corporate bond offering.

According to records On Twitter from SBI Group CEO Yoshitaka Kitao, citing a press release from the company, the financial giant will soon offer XRP payments to customers who will participate in the firm’s new offering.

SBI Group, headquartered in Tokyo, intends to place its tokenized corporate bonds on April 20. The company will provide an XRP bonus to all investors who participate in the offer. The number of XRP distributed will be equal to the number of digital securities purchased by each investor. The tokenized bonds will be issued on the Ibet platform.

Back in late 2019, Kitao revealed that the XRP dividend payout program would be launched before the end of the fiscal year, which ends in March 2020. In addition, in February, it became known that SBI is in talks with foreign financial firms to create a joint venture focused on cryptocurrencies.
