An employee of Luiz Alves City Hall, in the interior of Santa Catarina, is being investigated on suspicion of having deleted computer programs from several municipal executive secretariats, at the behest of the previous management.
Earlier this year, the current management, which took over the city after the elections, informed the Civil Police that some programs had been deleted, causing serious problems for the administration, as well as suppliers of the agency, as programs that were doing account controls were also deleted.
According to the delegate responsible for the case, Osnei Valdir de Oliveira, the corporation seeks to understand the interest of the old management in hiding data that should be available.
On the 9th, the police served a search and seizure warrant at the server’s house, where electronic devices were seized.
Still according to the corporation, the inquiry should be completed in the coming days.
The server was removed from office, and investigations continue to elucidate the case.
