The Santa Catarina Military Fire Department (CBMSC) is searching for a plane, model T-25 Universal, of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) that lost its signal late this Friday afternoon (4).
The last recorded location of the aircraft was in the region of the municipalities of Tijucas and Canelinha, in the coastal region of the state.
In a note, the firefighters stated that they sent an Archangel 05 helicopter from the corporation, which was flying over the region, but the search was suspended and they continue by land with the Fire Department of the municipality of São João Batista. The aerial search will resume on Saturday (5), together with the Air Operations Battalion team.
The FAB also manifested itself saying that the two soldiers on board were carrying out a training flight. A C-105 Amazonas aircraft and an FAB H-36 Caracal helicopter were called to carry out searches and are on their way to the region. Operations are coordinated by the Curitiba Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Center.
