Michalis Loukeris (24 years old)
BRANCH: Catering Services – Scander

Arrive at your favorite restaurant, which is full. And yet, you do not have to wait to order. You take out your mobile phone and through the Scander application your order reaches directly to the kitchen. And not only that, but when it comes time to leave, you do not need to look for the waiter. Scander also helps you with your account.

These are just two of the services provided by Scander, headed by Michalis Loukeris. It is a Software as a Service, addressed to all companies operating in the field of catering and hospitality. Competitive advantage of Scander is that it is the only service in the Greek market that covers all the needs of a company: from the digital catalog and contactless order, mentioned above, to a delivery system with 0% pre-order and in-store order from customers, Wireless ordering (PDA), virtual tour of the company, so that the customer can choose the table he wants to close, inventory management, interface with AADE, as well as statistical and personalized proposals for entrepreneurs through artificial intelligence and science.

Michalis with Scander has managed to win the 3rd place with a prize of 1,000 euros in the entrepreneurship competition of ACEIn, to reach the 10 finalists of the competition Ennovation and the semi-finalists of MITEF, while he has secured a place in the University of ACEIn.

The service, which was launched in February 2020, is in a pilot phase and is undergoing the first phase of testing. More than 10 companies in the greater Attica area have trusted and are using Scander, through a free trial. Michalis estimates that within 2022 the Scander will be fully operational and will be able to charge for the services it offers.

Michalis is a graduate of the Department of Management Science and Technology of AOP, while at the same time he completes his postgraduate studies in the Department of Digital Systems Security of PAPEI. In addition, he works as a Software Engineer in the National Network of Technology and Research Infrastructures in national projects such as gov.gr.

Methodology: Out of the more than 100 nominations collected by “Forbes” – either through applications of the interested parties themselves or through proposals from institutions and competent bodies – the editorial team made a first selection and came up with 50. The order of publication is defined according to the rating of the members (from the highest to the lowest) and then alphabetically. Conditions for participation in the list “Forbes 30 Under 30 Greece 2022” were met by those born from 1/1/1992 onwards.
