The epic finale of the third season of stranger things it put things on hold in 2019 and we’ve been desperate for the fourth installment ever since!
Even though we’ve seen some sneak peeks of Season 4, none of them really hint at just how big and epic the next chapter looks like it’s going to be, but finally, Netflix released a full trailer for Season 4. stranger things 4 Vol.1 and we can’t control our excitement!
What will the fourth season be about?
Scheduled to arrive this summer, the fourth season of stranger things It will have a total of nine episodes that will be divided into two parts: Volume 1 will premiere on May 27, while Volume 2 will premiere on July 1. For now, the new full-length trailer has us preparing the popcorn to immerse ourselves in the terrifying world of the Upside Down in a good marathon.
But what does this fourth season hold for us? Well, for starters, the trailer shows multiple amazing scenes and great clues of what we will see in the fourth installment: from Eleven causing explosions with her mind to some unexpected appearances of various characters, like Hopper, who in the last installment dies, or not?
Although in the past stranger things hasn’t explored a world beyond Hawkins, Indiana, the series’ fourth season will shake things up by dividing its story into a handful of disparate and important locations. Plus, it makes it clear that a significant part of her next chapter will take place in California, where Joyce and the rest of the Byers family have moved.
While the story will presumably return to the Upside Down, we’ll also see what really happened to Jim Hopper and what the heck he’s doing in Russia. As the characters discuss an upcoming war, we’re also treated to a look at some of the twisted creatures waiting to attack, who, by the way, look downright terrifying.
Something that the most recent advance also suggests is that the new installment of stranger things It will be quite metal, as there is a scene in which a guitarist with nimble fingers is standing on a dark and decrepit ledge, which makes us believe that metal has found its way to the alternate dimension of the series: the Upside Down.
In addition, it seems that this new season will be even darker than the previous ones, as its co-creator Matt Duffer told the magazine Queuefrom Netflix, which in this season “wanted to lean more towards horror”, perhaps because the protagonists have ceased to be children and have all become teenagers.
A full synopsis for the series reads:
Six months have passed since the Battle of Starcourt that brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the consequences, our group of friends are splitting up for the first time, and navigating the complexities of school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable moment, a horrific new supernatural threat emerges, presenting a terrifying mystery that, if solved, could finally bring the horrors of the Upside Down to an end.
Who will be in the cast?
The Show brings back the beloved and heroic Hawkins tweens, played by Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin, with Sadie Sink, Cara Buono, Maya Hawke, Brett Gelman and Winona Ryder.
However, there will be new additions to the cast, as the Duffers recruited 1980s horror king Robert Englund, aka Freddie Kruger, and he is seen in the trailer as a creepy character with sewn-on eyes, which which promises to be a “really dramatic departure” from any other installment of stranger things.
Tom Wlaschiha, who played Jaqen H’ghar in game of Throneswill play Dmitri, a “smart and charming Russian prison guard.” Myles Truitt of black lightening, will take on the role of Hawkins basketball player Patrick. While Amybeth McNulty, yes! our Anne of Anne with an E, will play Vickie, the new girl who will catch the eye of one of our beloved heroes. What a thrill!
