Johansson asked her Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) co-stars Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Chris Evans, Danai Gurira, Mark Ruffalo and Paul Bettany to encourage their followers to vote for a new video posted on Downey Jr.’s page. on Instagram this Thursday (31).
“Scarlett, it’s a pleasure to come together and get votes in this election,” Gurira said on the call.
In the video, the group of actors thinks of some superhero-themed catchphrases for Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.
After pitching several ideas, including “Kamala Forever” — a play on Marvel’s hit “Black Panther” franchise — the stars finally came to the conclusion “I am Kamala Harris and I support democracy.”
The group of actors has appeared — together and separately — in several Marvel film franchises, culminating in the 2019 epic “Avengers: Endgame,” which grossed an estimated $644 million at the worldwide box office during its opening weekend and racked up US$2.8 billion worldwide.
They are the latest celebrities reported to offer support to Kamala and Tim Walz’s campaign.
