Scary video: Doctors remove a moth from the ear

A video that causes nightmares has been circulating on the internet for the last few hours and shows a Texas man pulling a giant insect out of his ear, after the creature flew out of his bag and found refuge there, while working in his garage.

The patient appeared in this week’s episode of “This Came Out Of Me,” a Discovery Channel series that describes unusual and extreme medical emergencies treated by ER doctors in Texas.

In Sunday’s episode, Ronald is heard telling nurse Paige Grissom how he was building a dune outside his garage in Odessa when a bug flew to ear of.

When asked if he believed the insect he was still alive, Ronald replied that he thought he was alive, adding: “It’s really annoying. “I feel like it has wings and is down in the eardrum of my ear.”

“Drives me crazy. I feel his wings on the drum “

“It drives me crazy,” he added. “I could not stand up because it was so uncomfortable.”

Dr. Greg Starr assessed Ronald’s condition and found that the bug was stuck in the “left external auditory canal”. The doctor injects several doses of lidocaine – a type of local anesthetic – into Ronald’s drum in an attempt to either stun or kill the insect.

Ronald appears to be spinning in pain in a hospital bed as the drug is being administered.

After the third dose, Ronald raises his legs in the air in agony and shakes his head as the winged creature is removed from his ear.

“It looks like a moth.” moth) “, Star can be heard shouting as he holds the insect in the camera.

The footage of the clip has since gone viral on Facebook, provoking reactions of disgust and horror alike.

“My worst nightmare,” one viewer wrote.

“And I will never sleep again,” added a second.
