U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation releases scary video of a child being dragged under treadmill, in order to raise awareness among people who have children and pets about the dangers of fitness equipment at home.
The video was shared by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission on Saturday and shows a child trapped in the Peloton Tread +, a fitness instrument worth $ 4,295.
The consumer safety agency said it was aware of 39 such incidents with children trapped on treadmills, one of which was fatal to the child.
“CPSC staff believe that Peloton Tread + poses a serious risk to children from abrasions, fractures and death. “CPSC urges consumers with children at home to stop using the product immediately.”
Those who want to have it in their home should lock the gym away from it children and pets, always keeping it unplugged.
Peloton responded to the committee, calling the warnings “inaccurate and misleading.”
