School, free swab only for teachers who cannot get vaccinated

The swab, for unvaccinated teachers, will be free only for those who, due to particular health conditions, cannot resort to vaccination. It is established by the protocol with the rules for the resumption of the school in September. “Schools will be able to use part of the specific resources that will be assigned to them, allocating them to cover the costs for carrying out diagnostic swabs for school staff”, it is written in the document, “engaged in activities in the presence and that they are in conditions of fragility on the basis of appropriate medical certification“. The schools will sign an agreement with the ASL of reference.

Other measures are confirmed from last year: the masks for everyone aged six and over, thehand hygiene, the shifts of staggered admission and the separate paths (as much as possible) for entry and exit, the shifts to go to the canteen, the identification of the referring Covid and an emergency doctor. But, thanks to the spread of vaccines, even if the spacing of one meter remains recommended, in the classroom you can also stay a little closer, if the classrooms are not spacious enough or if the classrooms cannot be divided into two due to lack of staff.

However, the suggestion for schools is to encourage the exchange of air opening the windows, even in bad weather: «In school classrooms, it is advisable to keep one or more doors of the windows and / or any balconies and the door of the classroom open slightly and at the same time intermittently or continuously – reads the document -. This measure can reach maximum efficiency if the windows, balconies and doors are located on both sides of the classroom (cross ventilation) and will have to be adopted even on days with adverse weather conditions, reshaping the frequency and opening periods of the doors. of windows, balconies and doors (which to compensate must be more frequent and for longer periods) and at the same time limiting the impact of external weather conditions ».

And, if someone is infected at school, the ASL procedures are activated as last year, but the difference is that they will have to pass seven days, and no longer ten, for the vaccinated, for the confirmation swab and return to class.
