The teenager who killed a young woman this Monday morning (23) was a frequent victim of bullying and killed a young woman he didn’t even know, according to lawyer Antônio Edio, hired by the attacker’s family.
A CNN had access to a police report registered in April this year in which the teenager’s mother reports threats suffered by her son both on social media and at another school he attended.
According to the Civil Police, the case did not move forward, as no possible perpetrators of the crimes were identified.
The teenager’s mother would also have taken complaints to the school board, which, according to the family’s version, would not have taken action.
“We regret the fatality, the premature death and the injured victims, but the state does not omit its responsibility through the Department of Education”, said the lawyer.
No contact with the victim
Sources linked to the investigation confirmed that the fatal victim was from another class and that he did not even live with the attacker. She would have laughed because she thought it was a joke before being shot.
Two other injured victims actually lived with the teenager and had recently been involved in a fight with him.
A third person was injured with a cut on his arm when he tried to escape, but he did not know the attacker.
Hate groups and crime transmission
The first information from the investigation shows that the teenager was part of a group on the Discord platform. He even drew a swastika with a knife on his left leg to score points. The attack on the school would be another step.
According to police, the teenager was encouraged to commit the crimes and even started a broadcast to the group this morning.
The teenager will be investigated for murder and two attempted murders.
A CNN contacted the Department of Education to confirm receipt of the communications and will publish the response as soon as it is received.
