The actor and former governor of the state of California, in the United States, Arnold Schwarzenegger, published a video on his social networks where he sent messages to several characters of the war in Ukraine.
He shows up at the office, and in nine minutes, he has addressed messages to the Russian people, soldiers in combat in the Russian army, protesters and to Vladimir Putin, President of Russia.
I love the Russian people. That is why I have to tell you the truth. Please watch and share. pic.twitter.com/6gyVRhgpFV

When talking about the protesters holding protests in Russian cities against the invasion of Ukraine – exclusively called a special military operation by the Kremlin – the actor said they were “his new heroes”.
“The world saw your courage. We know that you have suffered the consequences of your courage. You were arrested and you were attacked. You are my new heroes,” Schwarzenegger said. In Russia, only government-authorized protests can take place, and there are reports of repression of demonstrations against the invasion of Ukrainian territory.
Throughout the publication, the Austrian politician, actor and bodybuilder claims that he will tell “the truth” to the Russian people, and that he hopes to be heard by him as his “longtime friend”.
“See, Ukraine didn’t start this war, not even the nationalists or the Nazis. Those with power in the Kremlin started this war. This is not the war of the Russian people,” she said, criticizing the reasons given by Moscow for the start of the military operation.
“It is a humanitarian crisis. Because of its brutality, Russia is now isolated from the society of nations. They are not telling you the truth about the consequences of this war for Russia itself. I tell you with regret that thousands of Russian soldiers were killed. They were caught between Ukrainians fighting for their motherland and the Russian leadership fighting for conquests. Enormous amounts of Russian equipment were destroyed or abandoned. The destruction of the Russian bombs that are raining and hitting innocent civilians is infuriating the world so much that the toughest global economic sanctions ever made were imposed on your country. Those who do not deserve it, on both sides of the war, will suffer.”

To President Vladimir Putin, Schwarzenegger said: “You started this war, you are leading this war, you can end this war.”
In social networks, there are already positive and negative reactions to the actor’s attitude. He had recorded a similar message after the invasion of the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, taking a stand against the invaders.
