The Yandex team announced an important innovation in the corporate cartographic service. A new type of transport has appeared in Yandex.Maps – scooters.
Now the user will be able to build a route for the scooter and see how long it will take to get there. Also, Yandex.Maps has added the function of renting Yandex Go electric scooters.
As the developers explain, special routes are laid for rides on a scooter, which lead only along cycle paths and sidewalks and, if possible, bypass stairs.

The routes are suitable for regular and electric scooters. When planning your trip, you can compare scooter and other modes of transport routes to find out how to get to your destination faster.
Scooter routes are available throughout Russia. At the moment, the function is already working in the iOS application and in the desktop version of Maps. The Android app is slated to launch shortly.
