The Cypriot proposal in favor of it creation of a sea corridor for the transfer humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip presented this morning from Paris, the President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulidis.
Taking the floor, shortly after the opening of the work of the international session in Paris by French President Emmanuel Macron, the president of Cyprus explained that his country is the closest European country to the Middle East region and therefore could be the hub for the providing humanitarian aid which will arrive in Cyprus, be checked and then transported by ships that will have the necessary protection in the Gaza Strip, as reported by APE-MPE.
Nikos Christodoulidis stated that the Cypriot proposal has been codified in a text of about 20 pages which was drawn up with the help of other states involved in the provision of humanitarian aid, such as Greece, the Netherlands, etc. Finally, regarding the resolution of the crisis, the President of Cyprus was in favor of the creation of two states in the region.
