Seamless co-op mod for Elden Ring ready for beta test

Some time ago, a user under the nickname LukeYui on social networks officially announced that he was developing a seamless co-op mod for the popular role-playing game Elden Ring. And today, May 23, he released a video about his project, told a lot of interesting information and promised that the custom modification will go into public beta testing this Friday, that is, May 27. Everyone will be able to download the mod on the Nexus Mods website, and the developer immediately stated that gamers cannot be banned for using this modification. This is a very important point that interested many fans of the project.

The developer LukeYui said that online services from FromSoftware are not used for the cooperative mode, since there is no selection of players and no connection to the company’s servers. Accordingly, it is definitely not worth worrying about blocking. In addition, as it turned out, the cooperative mode does not support two players, as many thought, but four – one “host” and three guests. The developer does not plan to increase the number of players in one session in the future, so you will have to come to terms with this. The author of the mod also said that there is no need to fight for loot within the team – all the items that gamers knock out from monsters will be duplicated in everyone’s inventory.

And, what is most interesting, this co-op mod supports general progress, but there are several important limitations. Progress sync only applies to actions that take place in the host player’s world. For example, if a gamer creates a new character and joins another player, and after that they kill the boss together, then only that particular achievement will be synchronized, and not all progress in the local game. The same applies to additional mods – for the game to work the same for everyone, the list of mods must also be identical.
