US Attorney’s Office Prosecutors in Manhattan said the hip-hop tycoon used its business empire, including its Bad Boy Entertainment label, to sexually abuse women between 2004 and 2024.
The alleged abuses suffered by Combs included women participating in recorded sexual performances, called “freak offs”, with sex professionals, who were sometimes transported through state borders.
Agnifilo said the aggressions were consensual sexual activities. Combs also faces dozens of civil processes driven by women and men who accused him of sexual aggression and other improper conduct. He denied all the irregularities.
At the audience of this Friday (14), Subarmanian said that the potential jurors would begin to fill in questionnaires on April 28. The jury’s face -to -face interrogation will begin on May 5, with opening statements on May 12, the judge said.
Combs has been detained in a Brooklyn prison, awaiting trial since his arrest in September 2024.
Also known during his career as Puff Daddy and P. Diddy, Combs founded Bad Boy Records and is credited with helping R&B rappers and singers such as Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, Notorious Big and Usher into stars in the 1990s and 2000s.
Her career has been harmed since federal agents broke into her homes in Los Angeles and Miami Beach, Florida, in early 2024, as part of the sex trafficking investigation that led to her indictment.
