The second suspect of having participated in the death of architect Jefferson Dias Aguiar, which took place last Tuesday (1st), is still a fugitive, according to the São Paulo Public Security Bureau.
The first suspect, identified as Hugo dos Santos Araújo, 20, surrendered on the morning of last Friday (4) and, according to police, confessed to being the author of the shots that killed the architect. The crime occurred in the Butantã neighborhood, in the west of São Paulo.
The individual who is on the run was identified as Kawã Felipe Celestino, also 20 years old. He is appointed as the motorcycle rider who was responsible for taking Hugo from the crime scene. Hugo and Kawã were arrested this week.
Remember the case
The architect was on the street Judge Armando Fairbanks when he saw a woman being robbed. He threw his car against the robbers’ motorcycle, overthrowing one of the criminals. At this point, it was hit by firearm shots. Jefferson was rescued and sent to the University Hospital in a very serious state, did not resist the injuries and died.
The perpetrator of the shots fled on foot after the crime, abandoning the motorcycle, which was later found as stolen. Police reported that the criminals escaped southern zone by Marginal Pinheiros.
Jefferson was veiled in the West Zone of São Paulo last Thursday (3). The funeral began around 7am, at Parque dos Ypês Cemetery, in Itapecerica da Serra, Greater São Paulo.
