Secretary reports attempted drag on the Red Line in Rio

The Secretary of Transport and Urban Mobility of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Washington Reis, reported through his social networks having witnessed an attempt to drag, on the morning of Tuesday (13), while driving through the Red Line, at the time of the Maré Complex, north of the capital of Rio de Janeiro.

According to the report, criminals would have invaded the expressway and thrown a stone against the windshield of a vehicle that was heading in front of the official entourage. The goal, according to Reis, would be to start a trawler to steal belongings of drivers who passed by.

The secretary stated that the accompanying security team, composed of police, reacted promptly and managed to disperse the suspects, who fled through an opening in the protective panels installed along the road.

“It was a moment of tension and real danger,” Kings wrote, adding that no one was injured in the action.

In the same statement, the secretary mentioned congratulating the security forces by a Bope operation, triggered today (13), which resulted in the death of Thiago da Silva Folly, the “Th”, appointed as head of trafficking in the region. Reis also expressed support for the Military Police and the state government.
