Sweden’s Securitas has announced it has acquired a $ 3.2 billion acquisition of e-security solutions from rival Stanley Black & Decker for the largest acquisition to date.
Securitas, the world’s largest security company, has been pushing for years to increase its market share in e-security sales and reduce its exposure to staff custody.
“Together with Stanley Security, our largest acquisition in history, Securitas’s profile changes from a leading security company with electronic security and solution capabilities, to a leading partner in smart security solutions,” it said in a statement.
“The future of security is built around a combination of a global presence, connected technology and smart data usage, and together with Stanley Security, Securitas is ideally positioned to win in this environment,” he added.
Securitas said it expects to complete the deal in the first half of 2022, and that the acquisition cost will be around $ 135 million, most of which will be committed in 2022 and 2023.
