The Notre-Dame Cathedral, in Paris, was hit by a fire in 2019, which caused a lot of destruction and required a million-dollar renovation from France.
The church will officially reopen on December 7th, after five years of restoration, and the first mass will be celebrated the following day.
The fire destroyed much of the Cathedral’s roof, as well as the centuries-old spire.

The work cost France millions of euros and completing the restoration was a promise from President Emmanuel Macron.
Macron visited the renovated cathedral on Friday (29), where he gave a speech thanking the workers and calling the feat the “project of the century”.
“We have never seen a construction site like this. You all participated in the construction project of the century”, highlighted the French president.
Macron became emotional during his speech and highlighted that the employees “turned gray into art”.
