See how Cassie’s interrogation was on the 4th day of Diddy Judgment

The singer Cassie Ventura 38, faced an interrogation of the rapper’s legal team Sean “Diddy” Combs This Thursday (15) in his federal criminal trial.

Ventura, an ex-girlfriend of Combs and one of his accusers, has been testifying since Tuesday afternoon (13). The main witness of prosecution deposed about the beginning of the relationship and his participation in “Freak Off”, as Combs called the sexual performances of drugs he orchestrated.

In court, the jury saw affectionate messages among the ex-boyfriends, but also texts that showed the frustrations and hesitations of Ventura.

Combs stated innocent of five accusations, including an accusation of extortion conspiracy, two accusations of sex trafficking, and two shipping charges for prostitution purposes. If convicted, he can take a sentence of even life imprisonment.

Beginning of Relationship with Combs

Cassie Ventura witnessed that he loved Combs and believed he loved her. The singer said she fell in love with the “true personality” of the tycoon. Asked about his desire to make the veteran of the music industry happy, and if that included agreeing to play “Freak Offs,” Ventura replied, “There is much more than that.”

Initial Freak Offs

The jurors saw 2009 text messages that Ventura confirmed that they reflected “open communication” between the couple. She said that at the time she felt comfortable expressing her needs to Combs about the Freak Offs.

In the messages, Cassie said she needed to “feel safe” to be sexually open. However, in other messages, the singer told the ex that a recent “Freak Off” let her feel “dirty and dirty” and noted that their initial intimacy seemed different when they were “so in love.”

Defense strategy

The jury also saw messages from March 2017, when Ventura said to Combs, “I love our (Freak Offs) when we both want to.”

She witnessed that those were “only words at that moment.” The defense tried to use these and other messages from the beginning of the relationship to characterize Ventura as a consented adult, not a victim of coercion, said the lawyer and commentator of legal matters Areva Martin.

Other relationships

In his interrogation, Cassie Ventura described discussions with Sean Combs about her relationships with other women, particularly with a woman named “Gina” in 2014, and testified that she “had a certain jealousy” by Kim Porter, who had three children with Combs.

Meanwhile, Cassie said the rapper was suspicious of her relationships with other men, including celebrities, and said she struggled to protect rapper Kid Cudi from Combs.

Drug use

The singer also witnessed that she and Combs used many drugs during the relationship and that she had adverse side effects. Ventura said Diddy was “explosive” sometimes when she found out she used drugs with her friends or taking his drugs without him knowing.

The defense attorney also asked a long series of questions to suggest that Combs was dependent on opioids and that any abstinence from them would negatively affect his mood.

Moment of Testimony

Judge Arun Subramanian told lawyers that he wanted Cassie Ventura to testify on Friday (16) and that the defense should end the interrogation before lunch. Prosecutor Maurene Comey said yesterday in court that the prosecution is concerned that Ventura, who is pregnant, “may have the baby over the weekend.”
