See how the services will work in São Paulo on the All Souls’ holiday

The city of São Paulo will undergo changes in the working hours due to the All Souls holiday, this Wednesday (2). Essential services will be maintained, such as hospitals and fairs. Too many calls will not occur or will have limited hours.

Traffic in the vicinity of the cemeteries of the capital of São Paulo will be monitored by the Traffic Engineering Company (CET) from 6 am to 6 pm, according to the city hall.

“Blocks will be set up, changes in the direction of circulation, traffic guidelines will be made, pedestrian crossings and changes aimed at improving road safety conditions, respecting the characteristics of the surroundings of each cemetery, in the various regions of the city”, says the company.

The city government explains that, in the vicinity of the cemeteries, the CET will place easels and cones, tracks with traffic guidance information, in addition to channeling spaces close to the entrance gates to ensure fluidity to vehicle traffic.

The traffic changes will be around the following cemeteries:

vehicle rotation

The city hall suspended the car rotation on Wednesday (2). The restriction for chartered trucks and buses is also suspended on this day. Exclusive bus lanes will also be released.

Public transportation

The circulation of buses on Wednesday (2) will be equivalent to the fleet on Saturday.

The city government will implement a special operation to facilitate the population’s access to the capital’s 33 cemeteries. The vehicles of the 271 lines that pass in the vicinity of these places will have identification on the windshield of the vehicles, as, for example, “via Cemetery of Araçá”.

“Another action is the creation of the 233F/10 Term special line. AE Carvalho – Term. Vila Carrão, which will pass close to the Vila Formosa cemetery, the largest in Latin America. The line will have seven vehicles and will operate from 8 am to 7:10 pm”, said the city hall.

Health:

Will be in operation:

  • AMAs 12pm – 7am to 7pm;
  • Integrated AMAs/UBSs – from 7 am to 7 pm, including for vaccination;
  • Municipal hospitals;
  • Municipal emergency rooms;
  • Emergency Care Units (UPAs);
  • Samu 192.

Education

Schools and kindergartens of the Municipal Secretary of Education will be closed. CEUs will be open from 8 am to 6 pm. To access the addresses of the units, check here.

Municipal parks will be open as usual. Opening hours for each location can be checked. here.

sports

All Sports Centers will be closed, with the exception of the CERET Sports Center (Rua Canuto Abreu, s/nº – Tatuapé) which will be open during the usual holiday hours, from 6 am to 8 pm.

libraries

All municipal libraries will remain closed.
