Two family members of Grêmio coach Mano Menezes died in an accident late Friday afternoon (16) in the city of Santana do Livramento, interior of Rio Grande do Sul.
Maria Sophia Dumoncel, 16, and Arthur Dumoncel, 9, are children of Álvaro Dumoncel. Álvaro is married to Camila Menezes, daughter of Mano.
According to the Federal Highway Police, the two were in a car that left the track on BR-293. The accident happened around 3:20 pm, according to the PRF. The car, with a license plate from the city of Dom Pedrito, overturned and ended up in a forest area.
Two people died at the scene and three others were seriously injured. One of the injured died later, after entering a hospital in the region.

The coach was in São Paulo this Saturday (17), where Grêmio plays against São Paulo for the Brazilian Championship. In a note released on social networks, Grêmio sympathized with Mano and his family.
The note also reports that the coach was dismissed from the concentration for the game and went back to Rio Grande do Sul. In addition to providing condolences to the coach and his family, the Grêmio note also reported that assistant coach Sidnei Lobo will lead the team against Sao Paulo and that assistant James Freitas will compose the commission.
