On the fourth and final day of the Democratic National Convention, US Vice President Kamala Harris accepted her party’s nomination for president in a highly anticipated speech on Thursday (22).
She attacked former President Donald Trump as she outlined her major policy proposals and told voters about her story.
In accepting the nomination, she promised to “be a president for all Americans.”
“You can always trust me to put country above party and self,” Harris said.

- Harris gave a speech about the security of democracy. “In many ways, Donald Trump is an unserious man, but the consequences of putting Donald Trump back in the White House are extremely serious ,” Harris said. She framed the election as a “fight for the future of America” and said the country cannot return to Trump’s old policies.
