According to information from the National Civil Defense, the plane was occupied by ten people. The Civil Defense of Rio Grande do Sul confirmed the death of at least 9 occupants of the aircraft.
Information collected by CNN point out that the weather situation in the city is bad, with rain and fog. The aircraft left Canela airport, next to Gramado and was going to Jundiaí, in the interior of São Paulo.

This Sunday (22/12), investigators from the Fifth Regional Service for the Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (SERIPA V), a regional body of the Center for Research and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (CENIPA), located in Canoas (RS), were called to carry out the Initial Action of an occurrence involving an aircraft without registration identification to date in Gramado (RS).
In the Initial Action, specific techniques are used, conducted by qualified and accredited personnel who carry out the collection and confirmation of data, the preservation of elements, the initial verification of damage caused to the aircraft, or by the aircraft, and the collection of other information necessary for investigation.

Regarding the air accident that occurred this Sunday, 12/22/24, in the city of Gramado (RS), Infraero clarifies that the aircraft with prefix PR-NDN, took off from Canela Airport at 9:15 am, bound for Jundiaí (SP) , and suffered the fall in the urban area of the municipality of Gramado, outside the airport site.
Information on the causes of the accident, number of passengers and crew, as well as the investigation, must be investigated with Cenipa – Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents, a body linked to the Aeronautics Command and Anac – National Civil Aviation Agency .

The Public Security Secretariat of Rio Grande do Sul confirms the crash of a small plane in Gramado this Sunday morning (22/12). The Military Fire Department controlled the fire resulting from the crash of the aircraft, which had taken off from Canela. The plane crashed into the chimney of a building, then into the second floor of a residence and then crashed into a furniture store. Debris even reached an inn.
During the initial response to the incident, at least 15 people were taken to the city hospital, most of them due to having inhaled smoke from the fire caused by the fall. The site is isolated by the Military Brigade. Security forces remain on site carrying out recovery and rescue work. The Civil Police investigates the case.
