The singer Selena Gomez and the actress Kirsten Dunst are the new names confirmed at the festival South by Southwest (SXSW), an event that takes place in Austin, Texas, in the United States between March 8th and 16th. According to an announcement made by the event this Tuesday (27), the artists are part of a series of names who will speak on topics involving technology, culture and innovations in the world.
The other new names announced at the event were Pamela Adlon, Samantha Bee, Danny Brown, Michael Dell, Colman Domingo, Ilana Glazer, Nick Kroll, Conan O'Brien, Lilly Singh, Sydney Sweeney It is Margrethe Vestager.
“Today’s speaker announcement features three incredible speakers who are doing important advocacy work in their respective fields, including protecting our privacy online and ensuring creators can make a living through their passions,” said Hugh Forrest, co-president and director of programming in a press announcement.
“Tracy Chou and Deonne Castaneda, Jack Conte and all the featured speakers announced today further solidify what promises to be an important and eventful conference program,” he adds.
Selena Gomez will speak on March 10th with the talk “Mindfulness above perfection: getting real about mental health”. Kirsten Dunst takes part in a conversation about her most recent film “Civil War”, on March 15th.
It is worth mentioning that the lectures are separated into so-called “thematic tracks”, responsible for grouping conversations related to subjects that interact with each other in some way. Are they:
