Selena Gomez is the most Emmy-nominated Latina producer in history

Selena Gomez 31, was nominated in the category “Best Actress” at the 2024 Emmys for her performance in “Only Murders In the Building”. With the list released this Wednesday (17), the artist becomes the most nominated Latin producer for the award for her participation in the development of the work.

The series starring the actress will compete with Quinta Brunson (“Abbott Elementary”), Ayo Edebiri (“The Bear“), Maya Rudolph (“Loot”), Jean Smart (“Hacks”) and Kristen Wiig (“Palm Royale”).

Executive produced by the artist, “Only Murders In the Building” has already been nominated twice in the “Best Comedy Series” category, leading Selena to break the record for most Emmy nominations received by a Latin producer.

Created by John Hoffman and Steve Martin, the series follows three strangers who come together through an obsession with true crime. Each season, the trio is tasked with solving the mysteries behind a new murder.

The production has three seasons and the fourth, set in Los Angeles, does not yet have a release date.

Emmy 2024

The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has announced the full list of nominees in the categories that select the best TV productions.

The 76th edition will award productions released between the second half of 2022 and the first half of 2023 and the ceremony is scheduled for September 15, 2024. See where to watch the nominated works.
