Singer, producer and actress Selena Gomez faced criticism about her body after her Golden Globes red carpet appearance on Tuesday (10).
On her Instagram, Selena spoke out about the attacks and spoke, alongside her little sister Gracie Teefey, about people accepting themselves the way they are.
“I’m a little big now because I had fun over the holidays,” she said, asking Teefey, “I mean… right?” “Yes!” Teefey replied.
The singer’s fans disapproved of the criticism and came to Selena’s defense on social media.
“She shouldn’t have to explain why her body looks like this,” wrote one fan. “She is perfect and does not need to explain,” wrote another.
Gomez was nominated for her role in the Star+ series “Only Murders in the Building”.
In 2022, Gomez also came under fire for her body and gave a similar response to people commenting on her appearance.
“Honestly, I don’t care about my weight because people complain about it anyway,” he said. And she completed “I’m perfect the way I am”
