Selena Gomez’s praise to her friend Francia Raisa who donated her a kidney

It is not the first time he returns to the subject, but for Selena Gomez, 30 years old, the gesture made by her friend Francia Raisa, who donated her a kidney, has concretely transformed her life. She also spoke about it on the occasion of the last episode of Dear… of Apple TV+, in which the star of Only Murder In the Building she recounted realizing in 2017 that her lupus diagnosis would require a new organ transplant.

“I could never be more in debt than to France,” he said in the March 10 episode. “The fact that one person didn’t think twice about donating was incredibly overwhelming,” she explained, adding that “it was one of those moments where I felt protected from above. I know I’m enormously lucky and I also know that this doesn’t happen to many people. I know the outcome of some similar situations and how serious they are, so I don’t take what happened to me lightly.”

The two friends would apparently have a moment of public conflict in 2022, when Gomez, in her documentary focusing on mental health My mind and me, speaking of Taylor Swift defines her “only true friend in the industry”. Soon after, Raisa unfollowed Gomez on social media and fans speculated that she might resent that statement.
