Separate collection: At Christmas you can… be even greener!

At Christmas we are all better off, perhaps. But definitely less green. This mantra that accompanies us throughout the period of December definitely sounds like a sad commonplace for our planet.

During the Christmas holidays, consumption increases and our good intentions in the name of sustainability begin to waver.

Among decorations, lights, unwanted gifts thrown away, greeting cards scattered everywhere, food waste, every Christmas is confirmed as the biggest environmental disaster of the year.

But you just need to have a few little tips to spend a great green Christmas, in the name of respect for the environment.

To experience these holidays with the lowest possible ecological impact, it is necessary to be well informed about the correct recycling of various waste: not all waste is destined for the garbage can!

We have already addressed in this article the thorny question of disposal of some waste that often creates doubts or uncertainties about their disposal in the right bins.

But during this period the perplexities increase!

Who like me has found meters of silver or gold paper, tons of bows and tons of rosettes in their hands after unwrapping the gifts?

Packaging that has not been damaged can be set aside for wrapping future gifts. The passwords must always be reuse and recovery. But when is the card broken or unrecoverable? Where should it be thrown?

Don’t panic! Find out in our video where to throw this and other typical holiday waste.

Because at Christmas you can be even greener, as well as the remaining 364 days of the year!
