September 7: DF governor expects a quiet day and says there are no threats

The governor of the Federal District, Ibaneis Rocha (MDB), guarantees that everything is ready to receive the protesters on September 7 in Brasília.

According to the emedebista, the expectation is that the demonstrations will be calm and that no violent threat has been recorded so far by the DF’s intelligence service.

“It’s a civic party and the people are orderly, we won’t have any situation,” said the governor.

This Tuesday (6) will already be an optional point in the public service of the Federal District. The idea is to reduce the movement of people and movement on the Esplanada dos Ministérios, where part of the DF’s officialdom also works.

In addition to the government of the Federal District, the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and the National Congress decided to adopt an optional point for civil servants on September 6, the eve of the 7 September civic-military parade in Brasília.

The Public Security Secretariat of the Federal District (SSP-DF) coordinates the security system for the demonstrations.

The agency has already banned trucks on the Esplanada dos Ministérios and in the vicinity of the Federal Supreme Court on September 7.
