The 58 deputies of the ruling “Self-Determination” movement, deputies of minority parties as well as three deputies of the opposition voted for Osmani. Eleven ballots were found invalid. 38 opposition lawmakers abstained from the vote, including the ten lawmakers representing the Serb ethnic community.
Osmani served as caretaker President of the Republic from November 5, 2020 until March 22, 2021.
