Serial killer hypothesis in Rome, who were the three women killed

According to a neighbor, Mrs. Marta Castano, known as Yessenia, found dead in an apartment in via Durazzo, in the elegant Prati district in Rome, had only one purpose: “To make her 18-year-old daughter feel good”. the woman, 65 years old, she was originally from Colombia, but had lived there for many years. They often saw her going out with her dog and “with a younger girl who looked a lot like her”, as they tell Republic the condominiums, who remember her as “a sunny person”, “a good person”.

Marta was a prostitute and, from the first reconstructions, it seems that she was killed while waiting for a customer. Her lifeless body was found lying on the bed with a deep stab wound. When the victim’s sister raised the alarm, officers arrived immediately.

They were already at work, a few hundred meters away from Marta’s apartment, on the case of themurder of two Chinese women – they too were prostitutes and they too were stabbed – whose bodies had been found just a couple of hours earlier in a building in via Augusto Riboty. Two women in their 45s, not yet identified, who lived apart and that no one knew. “They only went out to do the shopping”, explain the neighbors, who were aware of the fact that there was a prostitution ring in the apartment.

The men of the Mobile and the Scientific Police of the Rome Police Headquarters are investigating the three murders. For the moment, connections between the crimes cannot be excluded, which were committed in the same time frame and less than a kilometer apart. The investigators do not exclude that the person responsible for the murders could be a serial killer of prostitutes: the investigations are focused on customers, and investigators are evaluating possible witnesses and analyzing the latest telephone contacts of the victims.
