“Vicious” British nurse Lucy Letby, already jailed for life for murdering seven newborns, was found guilty today of attempting to kill a little girl at the hospital where she worked. At the end of the month-long trial at Manchester Crown Court, jurors quickly came to the conclusion that Letby, 34, attempted to kill ‘Baby K’, a premature infant in the intensive care unit of the Countess of Chester Hospital, on February 2016. Her sentencing in this case will be announced on Friday. In August 2023 Letby was found guilty of seven murders of premature babies at the same hospital in 2015-16. The number of children she killed or attempted to kill makes her the worst serial killer of minors in modern British history.
