Sertanejo has led the ranking of most listened to on YouTube for 400 weeks

According to data released by YouTube this Monday (20), the countryside reached a new milestone on the platform, remaining, over 400 weeks, among the Top 100 on the Brazilian Charts.

In short, the ranking is made up of those artists who have been present in the charts over the last seven and a half years.

In total, 18 musicians – including solos, duos and groups – have been part of the list since the tool was launched with the intention of illustrating and accompanying the musical taste of Brazilians.

The presence of names from pagode, rap, funk and forró also points to other musical tastes of the public.

Another relevant highlight is precisely the reproduction of national songs, since there has been no other artist outside the country for as long as the Brazilian musicians on the list.

Racionais MC's, Bruno & Marrone and Marília Mendonça

The platform points out that the presence of Racionais MC's on the list of artists about to reach this deadline, it is impressive – since the rap group emerged in the 80s and remains among the most popular in Brazil.

The information also applies to the country duo Bruno & Marrone – who were born at the same time as Racionais. Last but not least, Marília Mendonça, even after more than two years since her death, remains popular.
